Terms of service

2026-09-25

Aramis is free to use for individuals. It measures your cybersecurity capability against a role and shows you where your self-assessment and your results agree and where they do not. It is not a certification, it does not qualify you for anything, and nobody should treat it as though it did.

The agreement

By using Aramis you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use it.

Aramis is operated by Nearshore Cyber USA, LLC ("we"). These terms are between you and us.

What Aramis is, and what it is not

Aramis is a measurement. It asks you scenario questions aligned to the NIST NICE Framework, compares your answers with your own self-assessment, and shows you the difference.

Aramis is not a certification. It is not accredited, it does not qualify you for a role, a license, or a job, and it does not entitle you to represent yourself as certified by anyone. If someone tells you an Aramis result is a credential, they are wrong.

The assessment is being calibrated by the people who take it. Today its results are a rough guide, and they become more precise as more professionals answer the same questions. Your results page says so too.

We do not guarantee that a result is accurate, that it predicts your performance in a job, or that anyone else will find it meaningful. We will tell you clearly what a result does and does not show.

Your account

You need an account to take an assessment. Sign in is by an emailed link or a provider; there is no password.

Keep your email account secure. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, because that is how a sign-in link works.

One person, one account. Do not take an assessment on someone else's behalf, and do not let someone take one as you. That measures the wrong person, and it distorts the statistics other people's results depend on.

Taking the assessment honestly

The assessment is not proctored and we do not watch you.

The result is for you. Your map is only useful if it reflects what you actually know, so please answer on your own.

Do not copy, scrape, republish, or resell our questions. They are our work, and questions that leak stop measuring anything for the next person.

Your results are yours

Your individual result belongs to you, and we will not sell it. We do not show it to an employer, with one exception: for our recruiting assessments, a summary of your result can go to the applicant record Nearshore Cyber keeps for you in its recruiting system, either because you accepted an invitation and agreed to share, or because you finished the whole assessment and your sign-in email matches exactly one of its candidate records. The privacy notice sets out both cases and exactly what the summary contains.

If your employer uses Aramis:Build, they see the team in aggregate, never your named result.

You may share your own result with anyone you like. That is your decision and we do not need to be told about it.

What costs money

The individual assessment is free, and we intend to keep it that way.

Some future products will be paid: an expert roadmap session, Aramis Career Manager, and Aramis:Build. None of them is on sale yet. When they are, they will have their own terms, and nothing you can do today will charge you anything.

Availability

We will try to keep Aramis running, but we do not promise it will always be available. It is provided as-is.

We may change or stop features. If we stop something you depend on, we will tell you and give you a way to get your data out.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Aramis, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us, which for the free assessment is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you, and Mexican consumer-protection law in particular limits what we can disclaim.

Closing your account

You can delete your account whenever you like, for any reason or none.

We can suspend or close an account that is being used to attack the service, to scrape the question bank, or to impersonate someone. We will tell you why.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, United States, and disputes go to the courts of Dallas County, Texas.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim there.
